The Khyber Pass is a fifty kilometer long narrow mountain valley. It has been a famous trade route. The Aryans crossed the Pass nearly four thousand years ago. The road through the Pass runs zigzag through the mountain. Parallel to the road, runs the railway line, which was laid in 1925. About 14 km from Peshawar is the Jamrod Check post. Landikotal is the highest place along the Pass. Torkham is the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Brave tribesmen live in the mountains of the Khyber Pass.
